Hoping to Give Money to an Eagle

The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County is a county-wide community resource for charitable giving. They are an enduring source of charitable funds to meet the changing needs and interests of the region.

Since 1998, The Community Foundation has supported our county with grants and scholarships totaling more than $35 million. The Foundations charitable assets under management have grown to nearly $60 million and provide support to all aspects of our community.

“Community Foundation have a lot of scholarships being offered … up to $12,000.  And these scholarships are not just for straight A students.” — THS Registrar Amanda Miller

Each year the Community Foundation of San Luis Obispo gives out money in the form of scholarships to local students.  According to Ms. Miller, the THS Registrar, “they have a lot of scholarships being offered up to $12,000.  And scholarships are not just for straight A students”.  Currently there are 20 scholarships available to THS students.   Why not you?

There is a meeting at lunch for interested students on Friday, December 6th, at the beginning of lunch in the THS Library.  There is no sign up necessary, just show up.  Don’t miss your opportunity to learn about how to qualify for one or more of these scholarships.

A big thank you to the Community Foundation and to Ms. Miller.

Bring any questions you have to the lunch meeting on Friday or email Ms. Miller at amiller@templetonusd.org or stop by her office.
