The Eagles have started off with a bang … 4 games, 4 shutouts, and the Eagles stand 4-0 before tonight’s game against Mission Prep. Eagle pitchers (L to R) Ryan Domingos, Eli Bullard, Nolan Stetz and Robinson Lardner have each had one appearance and each has turned in a dominating performance.
Game #1: Eagles – 10 Pioneer Valley – 0. Nolan Stetz took the mound for the opening game of the season facing Pioneer Valley on the road. Nolan through a 1 hit gem shutting down the Panther’s offense.
Game #2: Eagles – 1 Pioneer Valley – 0. Eli Bullard through a 5 inning no – hitter with the game being shortened because of darkness. Eli struck out six before the game was called.
Game #3: Eagles – 14 Liberty – 0. Ryan Domingos pitched a complete game 1 hitter, striking out 13 batters over 7 innings.
Game #4: Eagles – 8 Firebaugh – 0. Robbie Lardner was on the mound, went seven innings striking out eight batters while only giving up four hits.
Some pretty impressive totals. The Eagles are 4-0. They have four shutouts which have been pitched by four different pitchers. In 4 games, all 4 pitchers, Nolan Stetz, Eli Bullard, Ryan Domingos and Robbie Lardner have combined and thrown a total of 25 innings, given up 0 earned runs and 30 strikeouts while yielding only 6 hits.
The Eagles put their streak on the line tonight against Mission Prep beginning at 3:30 at Vineyard Field. Come on out and cheer on the boys.
In the opening game of the tournament the Eagles won big 14-0 over Liberty High School. With Ryan Domingos pitching a complete game 1 hit shutout pitching 7 innings and striking out 13. Offensively there were a lot of impressive performances. Nolan Stetz had two hits and five runs batted in. Merek Hall had three hits, two of them doubles and two runs batted in. Eli Bullard had a double, two hits and two runs batted in and Tyler Kaschewski scored 4 runs and stole 4 bases.
In game two the Eagles shut out Firebaugh 8-0. Robbie Lardner was on the mound, went seven innings striking out eight batters while only giving up four hits. Merek Hall had another two hits and two runs batted in. Tyler Kaschewski added three hits and scored all three times he was on base. JB Kirschenstein had a double and a run batted in but more importantly he was the catcher for all fourteen innings of these two shutouts. And Trent Wills had two hits including Templeton’s first home run of the year clearing the right center field fence.
