Study
Even though we all dread it, studying is crucial to making sure you score well on an exam. Make sure you know the material you are going to be tested on and use any resources that are available to you. Quizlets, flashcards and practice tests are great ways to do this. Also, remember that there are Cal Poly tutors in Deaser’s Den everyday from 8-2 that would love to help you out if you need anything. Your teachers are also a great resource you can use if you have any questions as well.
Get a Good Night Sleep and Eat a Healthy Breakfast
While it may not seem like a big deal, eating a nutritious breakfast and making sure you get a healthy amount of sleep can cause you to perform significantly better on a test than you would if you didn’t eat or sleep well before your test. Research shows that if you get at least 7 hours of sleep the night before a big test your scores will be around 10% higher than they would be if you didn’t sleep as well.
Most importantly, don’t stress yourself out too much! Try to stay calm, and go in with a level head. You got this! Good Luck and go eagles!
