Engineering Students Put Knowledge to the Test with Solar Power Race

The THS Engineering I course just finished up a unit learning about solar energy and the culminating project was to build a solar powered drag car,” said Jason Diodati, who teaches Engineering and several other Science classes at THS.   “They also learned about gearing in their pursuit to build the fastest solar powered car in the class.” he added.

The annual contest is always an entertaining way to wrap up the unit and give students an opportunity to put to the test the things they have been learning in class.
